Before I die(d), I fell in love with Amit Trivedi...

thanks to the title of my new post, I now have your undivided atention (glory be to the ways of PR and media)!!! Amit Tridevi happens to be the music director of the just released Dev D and I am completely in love with the sound track. None of you would have been reading this, if you knew it was a music review. So, here I am doing almost that clubbed with some of the memories the songs have triggered.

well, I chanced upon this song 'emosanal attyachaar' while one of the kids was channel surfing... all of us were hooked to the song instantly (they are 5 and 2 and me 32)... they fell in love with the weird sounding words and music and i went back to my childhood... it triggered my stay at Bhopal (then and even now in MP)... Bhopal in those days had these orchestra guys playing music and singing aloud on big 'haath thelaas' blaring from loud speakers... they even sang the music... like 'tauba tera jalwa, tauba tera pyaar... taain-taain-taain-taain-taain (5 times, then repeat again)... gottit? and it was so much fun... basic bhopu, and yeahs, and tain-tain happening!

coming back, next is a song called 'aankh micholi'... it takes you to a different high... you need to be in a trance... a state of mind that you don't want to come back from... so, go, smoke, pot, booze, feel high and listen to the song... or on second thoughts, maybe just listen to the song... it will be a different kinda high!

And yes, that's all about my love story...isstory... Bhopal kinds!
